If I were to ask you to cut a single piece of paper into a round shape with a radius of 5 cm, you’d probably have no problem doing it. You’d just grab some scissors and a ruler, measure out 5 cm, and cut. But if instead I asked you to cut 1000 pieces of paper into 5 cm circles, I don’t think you’d go about the task in the same way. The logical thing to do would be to save time and effort by first cutting a round frame 5 cm across, and then using it to cut out the rest of the shapes.

Sometimes life is like that; we need a framework to make sure we’re not wasting our time re-inventing the wheel, again and again.

I’ve been creating frameworks for myself for quite some time now. I recently revisited an old journal entry of mine from October 31, 2006. I was in Cairo, Egypt, at the time, attending a workshop. In my journal I’d written, “Another day in Cairo, not much going on just listening to people going bla bla bla. I am learning, but still, it is boring.” Obviously I wasn’t very absorbed in the workshop, since I was writing in my journal instead, but my time there wasn’t entirely wasted. In 2006, I still wasn’t sure what I was going to do with the rest of my life. In the same journal entry, I’d written three goals for myself, and I gave myself three years to complete them:

Goal #1 – Continue my education and get an MBA

Goal #2 – Run another marathon

Goal #3 – Be absolutely in love with somebody else

I didn’t realize it then, but that journal entry was my first attempt at drawing up a framework for myself. I’m happy to report that I completed all three goals. The third one took more time, but I got it accomplished nevertheless.

Looking back over my life since 2006, I realize that the way I plan now ties directly back to that first framework, although it’s developed some. My change framework has four components:

  1. Step 1- What is my ultimate goal? (Back them I called it my dream)
  2. Step 2- What is my current situation? (My reality)
  3. Once taken and with penis stimulation, men can easily prevent sexual weakness and weak ejaculation through intake of tadalafil 20mg canada the best herbal pills like Musli Kaunch capsules. 4. Step 3- What are the biggest opportunities? (Options)
  5. Step 4- What am I going to do now? (Steps)

Over time, I’ve used this framework again and again, and it’s never failed to give me a clear perspective of where I am, where I want to go, and the steps I need to take in order to get there. The diagram I drew in my journal that day in Cairo looked like this:

Luis Framework

Over time, I’ve reworked the process some more. It looks a bit different, but the concept is the same. Knowing that I’ve used this process for quite some time, it was really neat to find that journal entry and realize where it all started, even down to the date, time, and location. The framework is simple, and it can work for you too.

Instead of measuring out a 5-cm-wide shape 1000 times over, maybe it’s time to create a framework for your situation and start using it.

Reinforcing one of the components of Beyond the Fear, “You Don’t Have to Do It Alone,” it’s important to find someone who’s already solved your problem whenever possible. I got your back on this one.
